Sarah Havener

From an early age, Sarah remembers being particularly interested in riddles, puzzles, and creative problem-solving. Her parents instilled in her an inclination towards creativity through touring various art museums, exploring architectural manifestations, encouraging artistic expression, and their love for good music (especially classic rock, Motown, and jazz.) Her family’s passion for camping and immersion in nature has helped her develop a reverence for the diverse landscapes of the west, and the natural world in general. These conditions coupled with humanitarian values and a desire to choose a career that would allow her to create a positive impact in some capacity allowed her to realize an interest in architectural design, and she went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Colorado, Denver with a minor in sustainability. Her favorite architectural style is Mid-Century Modern, especially of the Palm Springs variety, and she hopes to design her own net-zero (or positive!) desert-dwelling someday. Additionally, she has always found satisfaction in creating and is currently enjoying the hobbies of clothing design and pattern making, gardening, painting, and paint making.
