Monika Banakaite

Born in Kaunas Lithuania, Monika moved to the U.S. with her family at the age of 10.  From an early age she had an interest in drawing, painting, and anything that involved putting things together. These hobbies, combined with growing up around gothic and baroque architecture, developed her desire to become an architect. During her undergraduate studies, she developed a second passion for graphic design. She is interested in the role of visual communication in architecture and how it can translate into making spaces that are focused around an experience. Since moving to the U.S., she has lived in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, and San Diego and looks forward to more traveling in the future.  In addition to architecture, Monika has a passion for drawing, the outdoors, and cooking for friends and family.
