Matthew Joseph

Matthew has always taken a hands-on approach to things and his curious mind excelled in the school playing fields or local woodlands where he felt right at home building and improving on his very own treetop “Neverland” with the rest of the neighborhood Lost Boys. He knew he wanted to be an architect from his first visit to New York City back in the mid-90’s where all he did was crank his neck looking up at the supertall skyscrapers. Embarking on his architectural journey he opted for a hands-on approach and took a course in Construction and the Built Environment - giving him an insight into the world of construction. He then went on to study Architecture in the UK as well as obtaining minor credits in an MA in Urban Design. He now has over two decades of industry exposure working across multiple sectors in the UK, Europe, Jamaica, The Gambia and in North America.

Outside of Architecture, Matthew has a collection of fridge magnets from his multiple trips, a 2-year streak on Duolingo and is a keen martial artist, competing in Judo and practicing Aikido and Japanese Jujitsu. He’s also played youth Basketball to a high level and Senior American Football in the UK for the 7-time national championship winning team, the London Warriors.
