Katherine Liang

Katherine's interest in architecture initially became apparent when she misinterpreted the instructions to the 4th grade California Mission project. Instead of researching and building a model of an existing mission, she designed and built her own. This inherent love for architecture was further solidified through a love of traveling and experiencing different cultures. She spent childhood summers in Shanghai with family, was given the opportunity to go to Spain on a class trip and studied abroad in Florence, Italy in college. Originally from the Bay Area, Katherine studied architecture at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and then moved to Seattle, Washington after graduation. Eventually the rain and the long, dark winters drove her back to California where she spends her free time hanging out with her dog, cooking/eating good food and going for swims.
