Bart Mangold
Project Architect / Senior Designer
Bart grew up on the great plains of Kansas. These wide-open spaces gave him the freedom to explore and encouraged his curiosity for art and design. This curiosity led him to the Savannah College of Art and Design where he studied architecture. After graduating, Bart spent time in New York City where his understanding of the urban context began to unfold and his appreciation for community-based design grew. Later, he moved abroad to Iceland, it's here that his awareness of the relationship between landscape and architecture was strengthened. After moving back to the US, Bart worked in a fast paced, collaborative environment developing projects ranging in scale from single family housing to campus master-planning. Bart’s exploration and experiences have taught him to approach new situations with optimism and a willingness to learn. He carries this attitude with him for each project he’s engaged with, continuing to grow as a designer and person. Bart and his family have now settled in San Diego where they enjoy the sunny weather and the wonderful beach lifestyle.
