Angel Chang
Born in Taiwan and moved to the US as a child, Angel grew up while being influenced by two vastly different cultures, this eventually led to her developing an interest in the idea of “home” and how each culture sees the idea of their own home and community differently. She actively seeks opportunities to visit different countries, not as a tourist but as a resident, in order to experience what the daily life there feels like while having to pay taxes. So far, she has crossed Canada, Germany, Croatia, and China off the map, maybe she’ll visit Australia next.
On her free time, she loves urban exploration, not only to find the best coffee shops but also to study the worn-down nooks and crannies of the streets often overlooked in conventional architecture - the doorsteps of abandoned houses that became sitting spots for people waiting for their bus, the empty, overgrown lots that children use as their secret hideouts. She believes that architecture doesn’t need to be pristine for people to enjoy and find comfort in them.
Outside of work, Angel switches hats and works as an anime illustrator. She has done various apparel, promotional, and album cover projects for Voice Actors while also creating her own art, selling them as a vendor at local conventions. She also has a slightly concerning obsession with pink.
