The Street Enhancement Plan is an art project that is designed
to unite the communities of Golden Hills, Burlingame and North
Park by encouraging pedestrian passage, facilitating slower
car traffic and providing a sense of open space. The Enhancement
Plan's pedestrian pathway structure and median landscaping
are designed to acknowledge the original wood and steel bridge
structure that once spanned Switzer Canyon. The new pedestrian
structure hopes to foster a greater experience of the Canyon's
beauty.
