Words and Music Bookstore

This bookstore is also a coffee house, gallery, and a performing arts center. In design, the concept was to transform everyday artifacts towards a level of art. The bookstore was designed in a strategy similar to a museum; where minimal distraction constitutes the maximum presence. Words and Music was minimal in being painted almost completely white (with just a touch of black). This allowed the books and other objects to be spot lighted and perceived as art. In particular, the piano basks as the visual terminus to the checkerboard art axis.
