Young Abulencia has always been drawn to nature. Her fascination with the way nature functions led her to an undergraduate study in Cell and Developmental Biology and five years in San Diego’s biotech industry. She then pursued a graduate study in architecture in order to balance her scientific understanding with artistic, historical and cultural perspectives. Young now looks forward to a lifetime of learning, experimenting and wonderment as she continues to consider architecture from a biological perspective and biology from an architectural perspective. She is constantly amazed by all the possibilities architecture presents and hopes to contribute to meaningful, beautiful and optimistic work.
