Rick España was attracted to architecture early
in high school, but put his interests on hold to pursue
a bachelor's degree in marketing, later becoming a very
successful athletic shoe store owner. He and his business
partner, who also happened to be his brother, were even
the biggest sellers of Vans brand shoes in San Diego!
Right before opening a fourth store, Rick took an architecture
class and was drawn right back into the field. He thrives
on each meaningful experience he encounters in his work
and life, learning and growing with each one.
