Mikaela grew up in a small desert town on the edge of Death Valley. Luckily, every summer she and her family would pack up for an adventure the day after school got out, often not returning until the night before the new school year. One summer in Spain, Mikaela turned a corner to face the happiest building she had ever seen. The colors, curves, and intricacy of Sagrada Familia left a lifetime of strip malls in the dust. She graduated with an architectural degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she met her kind husband, David. Her ideas about architecture continue to evolve and she hopes to make the world a little brighter through her work.
