A Native Californian, Kara was raised in Palm Desert, CA, with her younger sister. When her family began spending summers in San Diego, she seized the opportunity to escape the desert heat by attending college at SDSU.
Happily married, Kara and her husband John are now being raised by their adorable daughter Samantha.
One of Kara’s many loves is attending sporting events. Although San Diego has been Kara’s home for many years (and despite many failed interventions to convert her), she has remained a LA Dodgers fan.
Kara also enjoys travelling. One of her favorite destinations is driving up the Pacific Coast Highway from San Diego to San Francisco. Kara especially looks forward to getting together with her family and spending time in the Sonoma wine country.
Her lifelong goal is to spend more time on her travels. She would like to explore other countries and learn about region specific cultural traditions and customs.
