Principal
After graduating from high school, Joe Mansfield took
a bike trip up the west coast and stopped in Lake Tahoe
to do some soul searching. While there, he helped a
friend build an addition to his house and they had many
talks about the future. At the end of his trip, Joe
decided it was more fun to draw a house than build one,
so onto design school he went. He truly enjoys the process
of each project: learning about and dealing with different
problems, developing personal relationships, and being
able to respond to the current world we live in through
his designs. One life changing experience of Joe’s
was when, on a whim, he decided to work in Japan . He
not only learned a different way to look at space, but
also met his wife, with whom he eventually had 2 sons,
and this he believes is a beautiful example of fate.
