The multi-faceted, multi-disciplinary nature of architecture is what motivated and inspired Julie Chiu to pursue a career in this field. After graduating with a B. Arch. from Carnegie Mellon University, she decided to move to Switzerland to continue her architectural studies, which also provided her with numerous opportunities to travel throughout Europe to visit many great works of architecture. Her international educational and work experiences have helped her appreciate the different approaches to the design process, the creation of spaces and the detailing of materials. In her spare time, Julie enjoys playing tennis, skiing, reading and traveling.
