Chris Duncan
Principal
Chris Duncan's future in architecture was sealed when he took his first drafting course in the 7th grade. He enjoyed drafting so much that within a month, he decided that he would be an architect. He never once wavered from his interest and was fortunate to be in a high school that had three years of drafting/architectural courses taught by a very enthusiastic teacher. Chris gained experience very early on, getting his first commissions in high school and later working in a firm during his summer breaks from college. No matter what duty they gave him, whether it was running prints or compiling weather data for an energy analysis, each task was an opportunity to learn how buildings were put together. He finds inspiration in seeing his visions built and enjoys the process of working with the contractors to build the objects he visualizes. Outside of work, Chris especially enjoys exploring the world with his two children. While teaching them, he gets to re-visit "kid stuff," getting his hands messy with countertop chemistry, building various objects, re-learning the stars, and visiting museums.
